HDFC SecuritiesI worked for many financial companies to develop trading platforms and so I have a hang of what equities and derivative markets are all about. So I thought of doing some trading for me in the real environment. So I bought a demat account from HDFC Bank.
Now when I got the demat account activated and also I got a etrading user id and password to start with, I logged in to the HDFC Securities trading platform and placed and order for the first time in my life in a real market. The order went in successfully and I became an investor – OUT OF NOWEHRE! Ha ha…

But now after 8 months when I try to log in to the same etrading platform to sell out my stocks using my login id and password, it simply rejects my request saying my password is incorrect. So finally I wrote to the customer care center to issue a new password.

These guys are simply impossible. They just sent an automated email saying they will revert back within 2 working days. Now it is already 5 working days that they have not turned up. So I thought of shooting out another mail. The reply was same automated email.

Then I decided to call up the toll free number and get my request registered. But to my surprise, the tollfree number just tells me to wait and keeps me waiting for 20+ mins. I am totally fed up. If they do not give me a new password soon, I will lose lot on my stocks. The prices are sky rocketing and if I sell them now, I will get lots of profit.

I just thought of sharing this with all my readers because, I have a 3 years old relationship with HDFC and every point in time, be it any kind of request, customer service was never satisfactory. Delight is far away objective for them.

But on the contrary I have a 8 years of relationship with ICICI and I would suggest every one to go with this bank. They have an amazing support system. Be it anything.
