We are sovereign and democratic nation… Huh! Seems only like some words inscribed on the grave of Indian Constitution.

Yes, believe me or not, every morning when I take the newspaper in my hands and switch on the television, I am persuaded to believe so. It is so frustrating and such an embarrassment to an Indian like me to see people proclaiming themselves as guards of Indian culture and Hinduism. This morning it was such a shame to me to hear that some Ram Sena in Karnataka hit innocent girls and women while they were indulged in their private affairs in a city pub. The Ram sena believes that the pubs and party culture is against Hinduism and Indian culture.

If so then why do we consider the constitution of our great democracy to give rights like Speech, Religion, Freedom etc. to people of India. So many Senas in the country have taken up the task of moral policing. If they have something brave in them, why not go and stop infiltration from Pakistan and kill the budding terrorists and help the defence forces to guard the borders. What law of this land empowers them of such a gruesome act?

I saw on the television how brutally women were being beaten up in public just because they were in western clothes and partying around. Is this not insane of them? Women are to be equal in the society. In this era we talk of women empowerment and equality and we see that our country does not support them become equal citizens of this country. Do they consider that all the Indians would quit putting on western clothes? I saw the pictures of the Ram Sena cadres and they were not in Dhoti or Angochha as per Indian and Hindu culture. Why are we such a hypocrite?

Hinduism as I know (as I am a believer and  a strong follower…) is not a religion but a faith and way of living. Hinduism does not permit violence. They name it Ram Sena… what a shame? Valmiki being such a cruel and cold blooded murderer, after uttering the word ‘Ram’  became a saint. How could these insane and unstable people use the word to name a group that does not act like Hindu. They believe in violence and spreading terrorism among minds of innocent Indians.

This is all political propaganda and the illiterate and unaware bunch of fools get swayed away. The three pillars of Indian democracy – The Legislature, Executive and Judiciary should work in tandem to control such acts and ensure that such incidents does not occur again. And we so called responsible Democrats should ensure that right people are at right places to protect our rights.

Jai Hind… Jai Bharat!
