Well said Amar !!! You have raised a beautiful question for each and every so-called Indian.We need to shoulder responsibilities like few people who made India proud…and not just be proud to be an Indian, thats not enough!!!

amar, we will come out of this menatality…we are going strong….we are feeling for each other..yes these incidents are happening in plenty but there is also another side..n tht are people like you and ur frend who feels for our motherland…and believe me..u r not alone…i have seen people offering seat to pldmpeople..helping people who can’t catch train or buses quickly…..don’t worry bro…india will shine…

i think that this is not a fully independent country.
we are independent if all the indian person knows their responsibility and do it well without any selfishness.;. All the best!!

Amar, great thoughts, you have provided a new concept of Co-dependence.
One solution for such a problem is that we can call the NGO’s to take the victim to the hospital. There are lot of NGOs which takes care of the funeral of such victim’s.
We should search & share NGO’s information who can help us in these scenarios. NGOs also have links with the city administration & the media hence can be a useful resource in such cases.

I feel the value of people who are in remote villages even if they are ignorant and illiterate are far better than the people who are urbanite. ‘Life is precious’ is realised by very few people. It is really sad that today everybody tries to transfer rather than owe the responsibility.

Excellent article Amar. You highligted a very good point to us ‘we feel independent not codependent’. Certainly this is a root of such incidents. Can I say at first we need to make changes in our moral philosophy, as we indian think we have a unique values and culture that none other country have.
