My first encounter with photography was when I was 7 years old.
My dad bought a small black & white film camera with a standard 35mm film and a standard 50mm lens on it.
Eventually I moved on to digital photography and started doing people and landscapes. Shooting people on the streets is my favorite photo-experience. Shooting faces filled with expression, different every other time, is so fascinating.
I did some product photography and some art photography for Harriet Serenkin – a NYC based artist. I also had a chance to do music photography with Jay Swaminathan.
Being near to NYC has helped me learn a lot and I am still learning. I am a member of International Center of Photography at NYC and love reading their huge collection of books on photography.
Photography still remains a hobby for me. Certainly I have a day job too as a software guy at a financial firm in NYC.
